A re-make opened Christmas day. How can it be nominated for Oscars and Golden Globes before it is even in theaters????? Haven’t seen it yet because Judd and I have had
such a 2 week-bad-cold that we couldn’t imagine the increased congestion after
crying in public…

Les Miserable was my mother’s favorite book but I never
could make myself read it while she was alive. She asked me to. She told me it was worth it. I wouldn't, couldn't in my busy life. Now I feel bad.
My Mother was also quite bent out of shape when I wouldn’t
watch the 10 hours of The Thornbirds TV miniseries….. I told her I had read the book. (I
had.) And, just back from Peace Corps, with NO TV for 28 months, I didn’t think
I could make myself watch anything on TV that long. And I refused. I drew my line in the sand over
that. So now who feels dumb and mean?
