Now we're back at work in Walla Walla, almost too busy again, but it's because we've both decided to retire and we're occupied with how to end our current careers in the next 1-6 months. We've given end dates to our supervisors: Judd - January 18; Melanie - June 22. "Yes, 2019," I had to tell many colleagues. I tell people I'm going West into the sunset. Judd tells people he's camping his way to the Arctic Circle. People tell us they're jealous.
Judd is a short-timer so spending fewer hours prepping and grading and more screen time perusing websites for campers and ferries to Alaska. I've got a count down electronic calendar running. The excitement helps us get through the grey, wet days here. Helps a little. I'm still pretty grumpy that I've got 159 more days til we depart.
Ugly sweaters were a hit the last day of work.
Our boys have turned the living room into a gaming room. So fun to see them playing together.
We got to help Malindi and Zack move into a new house! Odin and Juno have a big back yard!
Finished house warming- afgan for Malindi (started will all the extra pink yarns from the year of knitting pussy hats) while watching the boys slay demons together.
Ryley and Megan prepping for big holiday party in MA.
Countdown calendar, to-the-second, until my real life starts:
